Longdown Village Hall serves as a vibrant hub for our community, available for private functions, club activities, celebrations, and events. Our recently modernised facility offers excellent amenities in a welcoming environment, complete with a fully licensed bar, professional kitchen, and extensive parking.

Our hall has undergone significant updates to ensure it meets contemporary standards while preserving the character that makes it special to our community. Recent improvements include updated facilities, improved accessibility, and enhanced technical capabilities for performances and events.
Main Facilities
Main Hall
16m x 9m with beautiful sprung wooden floor, particularly popular with dance groups. Access to bar and kitchen. Perfect for parties, wedding receptions, community gatherings, and performances.
Meeting Room
Approximately 6m x 9m, comfortably seats up to 16 people. Ideal for committee meetings, small group activities, training sessions, and private consultations.
Skittle Alley
About 22m x 6m with seating and bar access. Home to our active Skittle League. This traditional Devon amenity is available for private bookings and special events.
Stage & Performance
6.4m x 4.7m wooden stage, expandable by 1.2m. Includes wings, backstage room (20 sqm), 2 restrooms, professional lighting with DMX control, and full sound system.
Licensed Bar
Fully licensed bar means you can enjoy refreshments at your event without separate licensing hassles. Makes hosting celebrations and gatherings effortless.
Kitchen
Equipped to handle catering for events of all sizes, from intimate family gatherings to large community celebrations. Modern appliances and ample workspace.
The Sprung Floor
The hall’s sprung wooden floor provides excellent support for dancing and physical activities while protecting joints and reducing fatigue—ideal for everything from ballroom dancing to fitness classes. This is one of our most valued features!
Technical Amenities
Our stage and performance facilities include:
- Lighting: 4 stage spotlights and 4 front-of-house spotlights with DMX control capability
- Sound System: 5 radio microphones, 2 shotgun microphones, house speakers, amplifier, and mixing desk
These professional-grade amenities make our hall ideal for theatrical performances, concerts, presentations, and community productions.
