Village Hall Renovation Update

The Management Committee is pleased to announce that renovation work on Longdown Village Hall will commence on June 3, 2024. This exciting project will modernise and improve our beloved community space for everyone’s benefit.

Renovation Scope

This initial phase focuses on:

  • Main entrance and hallway
  • Toilet facilities
  • Storage areas

The work is estimated to take 6-8 weeks to complete.

Access Changes During Construction

During the renovation period, please note the following changes:

Entrances

  • Main entrance, lobby, and storeroom will be temporarily closed
  • Use the side double doors to access the main hall
  • The lounge will be accessible through the skittle alley
  • Skittle alley access remains unaffected

Facilities

  • Temporary facilities will be positioned in the car park
  • Please be aware that disabled toilet facilities may be unavailable at times
  • We apologise for any inconvenience and are working to minimise disruption

Parking

  • Front parking availability will be reduced during construction
  • Please allow extra time for parking and accessing the hall

Important Action Required

If you have items stored in areas accessed via the main hallway, please remove them by May 31, 2024. These storage areas will be inaccessible during the renovation period.
